ABOUT NESOT

Promoting Kidney Health Nationalwide

The Nephrology Society of Tanzania (NESOT) is a non-profit, non-governmental professional organization established in 2012 to address the growing burden of kidney disease in Tanzania. NESOT serves as a national platform that brings together nephrologists, healthcare professionals, and researchers to collaborate, share knowledge, and promote best practices in kidney care.

Through education, advocacy, and research, NESOT works to strengthen standards of nephrology practice, support training and professional development for healthcare providers, and raise public awareness on the prevention and management of kidney diseases. The society envisions a healthier Tanzania where kidney diseases are effectively prevented and managed, and where all people have access to quality nephrology services through collaboration, innovation, and professional excellence.

Our Mission

To improve kidney health in Tanzania by advancing the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of kidney diseases through education, research, advocacy, and collaboration with healthcare professionals, policymakers, and the community.
